On-Site Candlemaking Classes

Looking for a fun team-building event for your staff? Need to host an activity for your board meeting? Hosting clients at a local venue and want something fun for spouses to do? We can bring our show on the road!

We’ll bring our crowd-pleasing workshop to you. Over two hours, your group will learn the basics of candle-making and pour two candles in one of our best-selling scents. 

Ideal for groups from 6-20, though for larger groups we can do rotations.
Price: $500 booking fee + $15-$20 per person (depending on group size)
*20% non-refundable deposit on the booking fee is required.

Candlemaking Workshops and Classes with Young Gentry

Private Workshops at PCM

Consider booking a private workshop at our studio in Ponce City Market for your next birthday party or holiday event. We’ve even hosted surprise proposals (we’re excellent secret keepers and accomplices, we promise)!

We host groups of 4-10 people in a private two-hour class. You and your guests will learn all about the art of candlemaking from one of our chandlers. You’ll learn how to mix one of our best-selling scents, and you’ll get to go home with two 9-oz candles. (Or we’ll be happy to ship them your way).

Price: $60-70 per person (depending on group size)
*20% non-refundable deposit is required


**Candles need time to cure. You’ll be able to pick up your candles the day after your class. For those unable to pick up their candles in person, we are happy to ship them anywhere in the US for $10.

Public Workshops at Citizen Supply

**We are not currently offering any public workshops due to COVID-19.  Once it becomes safe enough to host workshops, we will add a link to the Eventbrite page with our upcoming dates.**

Wrangle a friend or two and join us in one of our public workshops at Citizen Supply. Over two hours, you’ll learn the ins and outs of basic candlemaking, pour two of our signature artisan collection candles, and enjoy a drink from Likewise!

**Candles need time to cure. You’ll be able to pick up your candles the day after your class.  For those unable to pick up their candles in person, we are happy to ship them anywhere in the US for $10.

 

Workshop FAQs

Q: Where do I book a seat in one of your public classes?

A: We are not currently offering any public workshops due to COVID-19.  Once it becomes safe enough to host workshops, we will add a link to the Eventbrite page with our upcoming dates.

Q: How many candles will I get?

A: You’ll learn how to mix and pour two candles in one scent.

Q: Is there an age minimum for the classes? There is hot wax involved and all…

A: We’re open to youngsters, as long as they’re accompanied by a responsible adult. We even host birthday parties – perfect for kids in middle school and above. Every class comes with a drink from Likewise, and they have the best mocktails in town.

Q: I booked a seat in a class but I can’t come on that day anymore. Can I reschedule?

A: Reach out to us directly via email (hello@younggentry.com) or Instagram and we’ll do our best to shift your reservation do another day that works for you!

Q: Traffic, man. I’m running late! What do I do??

A: Let us know, and we’ll do the best we can do accommodate you. Message us on Instagram or call Citizen Supply directly at (678) 705-9145.

Q: What if I can’t come back to pick up my candles the next day?

A: We keep candles in the shop for up to two weeks. We’re also happy to ship your candles to you anywhere in the US for $10 after the class (click here), we’ll box ‘em up and send them your way. Just reach out to us via Instagram or email.

Q: I need to get my workshop candles shipped to me. How can I do that?

A: Click here to purchase workshop candle shipping. Just flll in your info and check out. Please make sure the name and contact info matches what you provided during the workshop, so we can ship you the correct candles. If you have any questions, email us at hello@younggentry.com.

Q: Okay, but what if I just forget about them?

A: We’ll contact you after a few days to remind you to come pick them up or have us ship them. If you haven’t claimed your candles after two weeks, we will either donate them to a team member or we add them to our stack of burn samples. They won’t be wasted! But they also won’t be gathering dust in our shop waiting for you.
